Pavadinimas yra šiek tiek klaidinantis, nes tai nepriklauso šernų genčiai Abies. Oregonas pasirinko tai kaip valstybinį medį. Lotyniškas pavadinimas "Douglas" eglė nėra tikra eglė. Genties pavadinimas Pseudotsuga rodo, kad tai yra panašus į hemlock medžius.
The lodge itself was excellent and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The douglas prekyba šioje zonoje tub was perfect with fantastic relaxing views. We haven't a bad word to say about it.
